2024 Shipyard Old Port Half Marathon and 5K

The Shipyard Old Port Half Marathon & 5K is coming back to Portland, ME on June 8, 2024 for an exhilarating late-spring race! The race will savor picturesque views of Civil War-era forts and lighthouses as you run along the Casco Bay waterfront. With a finish with at an epic block party in the historic Old Port district of Portland. Volunteers are need to support all race day festivites!

Race Day: Saturday, June 10th
As a volunteer at the finish line, you will be passing out post-race refreshments and medals to participants at the finish of their race. After the race, assist with clean up by dumping additional sports drink, breaking down boxes, stacking tables, and help organize supplies. 
Volunteers will support the festival area. Anything from setting up tables and chairs, line control, food and beer support. Great for volunteers looking to get a range of experience!
As a Course Marshal volunteer, you will be directing and cheering on race participants. Our course operations team will assign you a location on the course. It is vital that you stay there until dismissed by staff or the end of your shift.   

Volunteers must be 17 years of age!
During the race you will be leading a corral of race participants through the course ensuring everyone stays on course. After riding your corral through to the finish line either ride the course backwards or meet up with the last runners to ensure everyone is staying on course and safe.
