2024 Highland Park Half Marathon, 5K and 1 Mile
The Highland Park Strong Half Marathon, 5K and 1 Mile, formerly known as the North Shore Classic, will take place on June 2, 2024, in honor of the victims of the Fourth of July tragedy and our Highland Park community. For our 45th year of running on the beautiful North Shore, we are proud to have the Highland Park Community Foundation as our charity partner and will be fundraising for their July 4th Highland Park Shooting Response Fund.

Race Day - Sunday, June 2nd
As a volunteer at the start line you will be assisting our staff with starting the race. The volunteers at this area will be located at each of the corrals helping to organize race participants.  You will work with our start line staff with opening & organizing the corrals.
As a volunteer at Gear Check, you will be assisting with collecting, organizing, and returning gear to Race participants before and after the Race.
As a bike marshal, you will be leading a corral of race participants through the course.
Course Marshal
Feel the energy out on the course! Volunteers will be stationed at various locations along the course to ensure the safety of participants and spectators. Cheering and enthusiasm are strongly encouraged to motivate participants and increase the fun! *Individuals should be at least 18 years old.
Volunteers should be ready to jump in wherever needed!  We thank you in advance for being flexible as we make sure all of our stations are fully covered.
As a medical volunteer you will be volunteering  at the main medical tent. You will assist race participants when needed with basic first aid and injury treatment. Volunteers are required to show proof of basic first aid/cpr or additional medical liscenses.
As a volunteer at the finish line you will be passing out water, snacks, and medals to the race participants at the finish of their race. You will be celebrating their accomplishments, so bring your enthusiasm!
