2026 Hot Chocolate Run - Houston
We're back for another Hot Chocolate season! Join the sweetest movement and support thousands of participants as they take on their distance while you enjoy some sweet treats and give back to your local community.
Expo: Friday, January 30th, 2025

Join the fun before the run! As an Expo volunteer, you'll be integral to making sure all participants get their bib, goodie bag and more before race day! Our Expos are the day before our runs, making this a great opportunity for all. 

The Expo is broken up into various areas, including bib assignment, Chocolate Experience, goodie bags, legacy, merchandise store and more. Volunteer placement will be assigned upon check-in at your shift. 

Shift 1: 10:15am-3pm

Individuals who want to volunteer and run will receive a discounted registration after completing volunteer shift! After your volunteer shift see the volunteer coordinator to register.  Prices for volunteers who have completed the volunteer shift are $20 for 5k, $30 for 10k, $40 for 15k

Shift 2: 2:15pm-7pm

Race Day: Saturday, January 31st, 2025 5:30am-11am (Times Approximate)

As a bike marshal, you will be leading a corral of race participants through the course. Before the run you will meet with our start line manager for last minute instructions â€" if time permits you are welcome to do a final course ride. 

As a volunteer at the merchandise tent, you will be helping run the merchandise tent alongside our staff, and assisting customers who purchase Hot Chocolate gear.

As a volunteer at Gear Check, you will be assisting with collecting, organizing, and returning gear to Race participants before and after the run.  

The volunteers in this area will be assigned to a corral helping to organize race participants. Once the corrals open you will be directing participants into their corral, or helping to keep corrals separate and organized.
