VOLUNTEER POSITION: Volunteer Check In

As a Volunteer check-in volunteer, you will assist checking in  volunteers using our computer system or helping distribute volunteer gear. Upon check in, all volunteers must sign the waiver and check in with the computer volunteers. Once you have checked in volunteers, you will send them to pick up volunteer gear, and  direct individuals to stand by the signage that corresponds with their assignment. All volunteers, including volunteers that are members of a group, must check in and sign the waiver individually!

Once all volunteers have been deployed to their areas, you will help count leftover gear and assist with cleaning up the area of empty boxes and trash.

Start Line

VOLUNTEER POSITION - START LINE/FINISH LINE
As a volunteer at the start line you will be assisting our staff with starting the race. The volunteers at this area will be assigned to a corral helping to organize race participants. Each race participant is assigned a corral with their assignment located on their bib. Once the corrals open you will be directing participants into their corral, or helping to keep corrals separate and organized. When the race starts the first corrals will start – other corrals will move closer to the start line. Additional corrals will be released every 2-3 minutes until all corrals have started the race.

Please do not leave your corral position as they are being released. The Start Line Manager dismiss you once you are no longer needed at that Start Line and direct you back to the Volunteer Check-In Tent for your next assignment.

VOLUNTEER POSITION - BIKE MARSHAL
As a bike marshal, you will be leading a corral of race participants through the course. Before the race you will meet with our start line manager for last minute instructions – if time permits you are welcome to do a final course ride.  During the race you will be leading a corral of race participants through the course ensuring everyone stays on course. After riding your corral through to the finish line either ride the course backwards or meet up with the last runners to ensure everyone is staying on course and safe.

VOLUNTEER POSITION - COURSE MARSHAL
As a Course Marshal volunteer, you will be directing & cheering on race participants. You will be meeting with our course operations team – they will station you at a location on the course where you will be directing & cheering on race participants. Along with keeping race participants safe you will be directing race spectators to keep them off the course.

Volunteers must be 18+ to serve as a course marshal or receive special approval from our Volunteer Team.

Volunteer Job: Gear Check

As a volunteer at Gear Check, you will be assisting with collecting, organizing, and returning gear to Race participants before and after the Race.  You will be manning one or more lines of boxes.  When runners come up to the tent with a bib number that corresponds to the numbers on your boxes, you will collect the gear from them. Ensure it has their gear check tab fastened to their clear bag and place it in the corresponding box. 

Volunteers must remain at gear check for the duration of the race. Although neither Ventures Endurance nor volunteers are liable for lost or stolen checked property, we do our best to supervise everyone's belongings.

As a medical volunteer you will be volunteering at the main medical tent. You will assist race participants when needed with basic first aid and injury treatment. Volunteers are required to show proof of basic first aid/CPR certification or additional medical liscenses.

OLUNTEER POSITION -  MOSCOW MULE/BEER TENT
As a volunteer designated to our Post Race Party Moscow Mule/Beer Tent and ID Check, you will be serving race participants their complimentary beer they receive for completing the race and checking their ID.  You will collect the beverage ticket on their bib and serve them a beer.  

PLEASE NOTE: All volunteers working this area MUST be 21 years of age.  Based on your registration, it shows that you are of legal age.  If this is not correct, please notify us ASAP so we can reassign you.

VOLUNTEER POSITION -  ID CHECK
